This post is for Amazing Crafting Products Design Team Call!
I will admit I am new to their product and completely in love with what I've seen on their blog and videos.
Today was my first time ever using any craft molds and I used crafter's clay to make some embellishments for an altered journal.
Please excuse the picture. I tried to get close ups of the pieces but my camera died and my charger is no where to be found (now we know what I'll be doing the rest of this week). But due to a low battery the lighting and focus wouldn't work correctly.
I am so happy with the end result considering this is my first time.
Here is the journal:
Supplies:
Marblie Composition Notebook
The Robin's Nest Double-sided Paper (Fleur Admiral)
The Robin's Nest Fleur Sticker
Sassy Studio Designs Digi Stamp - Great Britain Honey
Martha Stewart Clay
Martha Stewart Silicone Molds
Copic Markers
Sakura Crafts 3D Crystal Lacquer
ATG Gun
The embellishments were made by putting clay into the molds.
First I put the corner edges in and popped them out carefully so they could dry.
Then took white and the dark blue and mixed them until a lighter blue was formed.
Filled the round frame-like silicone mold and leveled it off and left it in the mold to drive instead of popping it out and distorting.
After drying it was then popped out and the journal was then assembled with the following steps:
1. First covered the marbeled composition notebook with the double-sided paper.
2. Used the other side of the paper to put around the binding edge of the journal.
3. Then colored and adhered the Sassy image to the paper.
4. Adhered the fleur sticker.
5. Adhered the clay embellishments with the 3D Crystal Lacquer. (only takes a small amount.)
Enjoy!
Come back and visit again soon and can't wait to see what all I can make now that I've started!
