Cancer Affects Everyone
even if you aren't the one that has it!
Either you know someone that has/had it or you may have had/have it!
It has touched every single person in someway or another or it will in their lifetime.
These people all need our support and everyone needs more awareness.
I am doing a ribbon for each person I've known or at least met or that someone I have known has been affected by cancer in some way.
Here are some of the colors and what they stand for: http://www.cmtfp.org/BCH/CH_cancer_colors.pdf
Also here is a great site on facebook that you can order the color of the bracelet you want and ALL proceeds go to the American Cancer Society.
Tell them the Scrapbookpinkprincess Jamie from FB sent you.
I don't get anything from it, just like to know who actually buys from them that I send. :)
I just happen to know them from my son's swim team and know the man that does them is a police officer. I think they both had parents affected by cancer.
There are survivors. Keep them in your thoughts and prayers!
::This hasn't been my greatest layout ever but I think you get the point across that CANCER is UGLY::

yes jamie. cancer is 'UGLY'. great job.
I can see your thoughtfulness in creating this beautiful memorial for those people in your life that has had cancer. The fight continues my friend and we are winning one person at a time! Sending many warm hugs to you....:)
I agree. You can't have too many ribbons if you compare the number of people affected.

Wow - very touching page Jamie. You're right though - everyone is affected by "C" and that is so unfortunate. Hope you enjoy your weekend and are having a great time at your certification class! See you on FB! xoxo, Linda
Sad but so true. TFS
The colors of awareness for each type of cancer is very important and we should recognize and support them all...there is more than pink. God Bless you for pointing that out.
Jamie, you are so right. Cancer is ugly and I checked out your blog...you do good work that is very artistic in quality. Thanks for taking part in support of such a worthy cause.

Thanks for sharing the color chart!!! Great job!
Thank you for brining awareness to all types of cancers, having lost a cousin, BIL and friends to cancer, I agree it's UGLY!
I got the point and loved the layout.
Cancer is truly ugly but this lo is such an awesome idea. Although it saddens me that so many people you know have (or had) cancer, it is pretty awesome to be able to recognize them all on one page. This Cancer "timeline" will come in handy for your future generations.
Great project.

Thank you Jamie for bringing to the forefront just how many people have been effected by cancer.
Wow! Nice to touch on so many types of cancer!
It affects to many. What a great way to keep them upfront in your thoughts and prayers.
My mom just finished up her year of chemo. I have a lot of cancer awareness items I've made on my blog if you want to check it out: deasdoodles.blogspot.com (it's new so I would love for you to go take a peek!)

I think your project is awesome! A lot of people don't even know that there is a color assigned to every type of cancer and that they can show their support by displaying the ribbon of the appropriate color. Great job!
