Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day!

My day has been simple, just the way I want it to be!
Nothing fancy!
I even wanted fast food for lunch/dinner!

I realize how lucky I am to be a mother.
I love my children more than they can ever imagine.
I'm so hard on them because I expect them to be better than me.
I expect them to be everything I'm not.
If I am able to make them all that and then some then I know I have succeeded.

I have two boys.

My oldest is Anthony.
He was born on Tuesday, 6/7/94 @ 3:12a.m.
Weight: 3lbs 8-3/4oz. Length: 17 inches
(Assumed 3 weeks early but probably more!)

I'm embarrassed to show these pictures but want to go back in time to when I was pregnant with him and when he was born.
Here are his ultrasound pictures even though I know you can't see much. Cropped them from one of my scrap pages.

This is a picture of me not too long before I had him. I only weighed about 115-116lbs. But I was also only 15 years old.
He is almost 17 and couldn't ever imagine him being a father yet, thankfully he's not.
He has a whole life still ahead of him.

My youngest is Erik.
He was born on Tuesday, 12/05/2000 @ 11:34a.m.
Weight: 6lbs 1.7oz. Length: 17 inches
Born @ 36 weeks (1 month early).
His ultrasound picture which isn't clear at all.
I actually got pretty big considering I could of covered my whole first pregnancy up.
I was 22 when Erik was born.

They were both breech babies and born by c-section.
They are worth the scar I wear today.
It reminds me that I made a sacrifice to have such wonderful boys!
Instead of them thanking me for being their mother I should thank them for giving me the opportunity to do so.
